What began as a simple conversation on Maddy’s front porch quickly became the beginning of Firm Foundations. Almost immediately, we knew this was not something we were building on our own—it was God’s plan, not ours.

We are both Physical Therapists working in Early Intervention, serving infants and young children during the most critical stages of development. We first met as coworkers and, over time, became friends—quickly discovering we shared the same outlook on teaching, family education, and the vital role early mobility plays in a child’s growth. Again and again, we saw how intentional movement and guided support could shape not only physical development, but confidence and connection within families.

The name Firm Foundations is rooted in the truth echoed in the song “Firm Foundation (He Won’t)” by Cody Carnes: when our lives are built on Christ, we will not be shaken. That truth became the cornerstone of our mission. We prayed over every step—over this company, the families we would serve, and the community we hoped would grow alongside us—and God continued to faithfully confirm the need for a class like this.

Firm Foundations was created out of gratitude—for being brought together, for being entrusted with the skills to support children and families, and for the calling to serve during the earliest and most formative years of life. We believe that when children are nurtured with intention, care, and faith, they are given a foundation that lasts far beyond childhood.

We are deeply thankful for the families who support and walk with us. Like you, we believe in building lives—and little ones—on a foundation that will not fail.
